Imperial China

CHINA TRIP. Our long awaited two week vacation in China was incredible: The Forbidden City, The Great Wall, the Terra Cotta soldiers, the boat ride along the Li River and Hong Kong, etc. were all spectacular. The people were very friendly and everywhere it's clean. The food and service at the 5 star hotels were excellent. You were right in your recommendation of Pacific Delight Tours, as they and our guide did an outstanding job. This is now our favorite trip. Thank You,

Larry & Ana, W. Collingswood Hts, NJ

Hi Judy, We want you to know how much we enjoyed our visit to Vietnam's cities & historic sites, to include Saigon ( now Ho Chi Minh City) the Cu Chi tunnels where we crawled along inside, Da Nang with the Dragon Bridge , Marble Mountain, China Beach where U.S. Servicemen R&R'd during the war, Hoi An with it's colorful lights at night, Hue with it's ancient walled city made famous during the Tet offensive of '68 and finally Hanoi where we visited Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, his house, & the Hanoi Hilton where U.S. POW's were imprisoned. We recommend this trip for vets of all ages. Then we continued on to Guangzhou, China & visited Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall, Lotus Mountain, Chimelong Safari Park, a recently discovered emperors tomb buried in a mountain, a 17 story pagoda & the twisting tower. Guangzhou was fascinating and the guide was most helpful. Some of the people speak some English.

Costa Rica

You were right--it's a gem!  Luxury at all levels.  Tropical paradise that has to be experienced to be believed!  We loved the tours and learned much about bio-diversity and this eco-friendly place.  I've raved about it to all I know.  My girlfriend from work is amazed and asked for your name for her son's honeymoon.  I know Ed is dreaming about that Egypt/Greece tour you told him about for next year.  We're going to ask our grandson to come along. But I'd go back to Paradisus in a heartbeat.  Ed actually "relaxed" for the first time in twenty years!  Thank you for creating beautiful experiences and memories in our lives.

Honeymoon in Punta Cana

I was just wanted to drop you a line to THANK YOU for recommending Secrets Royal Beach for our honeymoon!  We had an EXCELLENT time!  I got the little survey paper in the mail......I hope its okay to give you our comments via email?!

---I couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon trip!  Secrets Royal Beach in Punta Cana is absolutely awesome!  The rooms are immaculate and the staff is always trying to make sure you are having a good time!  I was very impressed with all aspects of this trip.  Traveling to another country can be a bit daunting so it was very nice to walk into the airport, find the Apple booth where a rep immediately walked us to an air conditioned van and be prompty dropped off at the front door of our resort! We also met with the Apple rep, Cesar, at the resort the next day who gave us very important information and who recommended some great excursions!   He was very knowledgeable about the country and helped make us feel very comfortable!  Judy, our travel agent, was also very knowledgeable and helped us make a big decision!  Leaving was sad, but, also very easy.  We called the local Apple office who checked to make sure our flight was on time and gave us our pick up time.  That van showed up right on time and took us right to our airlines line!  This was honestly the best trip of our lives and are already planning our next trip to Punta Cana!---

Thanks Again for everything!

Punta Cana

We had an amazing time at Secrets Royal Beach in Punta Cana--we will always go to a Secrets now! We had the best time, people were great, food and resort.  Our husbands want us to book another trip there for next year.

Costa Rica
Costa Rica, We traveled through 6 of the 7 provinces with a visit to Poas Volcano, where you can look down into crater. River cruises provided opportunities to see & photograph wildlife, such as caimans, monkeys, ducks, colorful birds, crocodiles, etc. . The soothing, healing effects of the hot springs on my bad back felt wonderful. We had good weather which afforded us a continuous clear view of Arenal Volcano. The hotels were great, the staff friendly, & the food delicious. Another great Caravan vacation ! Larry & Ana

Re: Panama trip. We enjoyed our journey throughout Panama with Caravan. Especially sailing through the locks, and the nighttime dinner at the visitors center which over looks the canal. The surprise cultural shows were interesting, colorful and fun to watch. Thanks again Judy

<Our clients enjoyed an escorted 9-day Panama tour with a canal day cruise, rainforests & beaches with Caravan Tours...and we still think they offer an unbelievable experience for an unbelievably affordable price!>

14-night Hawaiian Islands

Dear Judy, Our Hawaiian cruise was spectacular! We are still talking about all that we saw and experienced. Flights went off without a hitch, the GOLDEN PRINCESS was flawless and we cannot say enough about the beauty of the Hawaiian Islands. Thanks once again for another Great Escape!

16 day Transatlantic-Mediterranean

Hi  Judy,

David and I had a wonderful time on the cruise. It was more than perfect. The waiters were fantastic, the spa and trainers were excellent, the cabin steward was great as was the food entertainment and activities. I even won second prize for making the most progress in a spa exercise program called, Transatlantic Transformations (nicknamed Boot Camp) that ran for the 16 days of the cruise. It was offered for the first time by the trainers. About 20 people were in the program, all ages, male and female.

Thanks for your part too. All the arrangements went very smoothly and just as you planned for us. Thank you too for the wines and strawberries and canapés. They were delicious. It was a trip to remember....Thanks again for making such a beautiful trip so easy to enjoy.

7-night Mexican Riviera Cruise

I am writing this to you as Bill & I have just finished our balcony breakfast.  When my husband says to me "hurry up, you don't want to miss a minute of this!" I know he's thrilled.  We waited until the day after PV <Puerto Vallarta>  The sea was calm, the air warm & the view was endless.  To say we had a great escape is an understatement--we had the trip of a lifetime!  We can never say Thank You enough.

There are so many little things, well spectacular really.  Our first day at sea, we awoke to a double rainbow & dolphins following us--pure magic.  The trip got better & better.  Now we have 2 days at sea.  We intend to savor every minute.  Thank you again..

7-night Royal Caribbean ALLURE OF THE SEAS

We had such a great experience with Great Escapes Travel.  We never used a travel agent before but were so glad we did.  Everything went so well and smooth it made our honeymoon that much better knowing everything was taken care of and there was no stress.  We cannot thank you enough for all that you have done.  We will be using Great Escapes again and refering everyone to do the same!

Thank you,  The Schneiders

Alaska Cruise - Princess Cruises

Thanks again,Judy!! We had a great time cruising galcier bay and visiting Skagway,Juneau and Kechikan. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. Thanks for the bottle of wine! The sites were amazing!

Alaska Cruise tour
I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for all of your assistance in planning our Alaska land/sea cruise tour.  We had a wonderful time!  The scenery in Alaska is spectacular!  Everything went smoothly.  Princess is to be commended for their luggage handling!  Our bags were always where they should be--they never missed a beat!
Also, thank you for your gift of dinner at the Sterling Steakhouse.  The food was delicious!  I must admit to you though that Kathy and I were a bit disruptive to the waiters routine.  Just when we were seated the naturalist signed on and stated that there was a pod of orca whales right next to the ship.  Well, we were like a couple of kids jumping out of our seats and running for the deck!  We continued to do this several times because after the whales, there was a pod of porpoises playing in the wake of the ship!  We finally settled down and finished our meal.  It was a perfect night to end our trip!
Thank you again for everything!

Alaska Cruise tour

Awesome trip.  Princess pampered us with their very organized luggage service, deluxe bus service and informative employees.

The Westin Bayshore Hotel in Vancouver was GREAT.  Five star hotel.  Princess employees in the lobby to register guest and they were very helpful.  It is only a 20 minute walk from the hotel around the harbor to the ship.  We went sightseeing in the morning and walked to the ship.  I would recommend this hotel.

The Rivers Edge Resort in Fairbanks was small and quaint.  It is not as luxurious as all the other lodges we stayed in.  It was far away from town and nothing interesting to see within walking distance.  I would have preferred a different hotel or lodge.

Alaska cruisetour

OUr Alaska trip was more pleasurable than we could have ever imagined.  Princess was amazing.  We would recommend using Princess to anyone planning a cruise or land trip.  Thank you for the bottom of our hearts.  We cannot begin to thank you for your expert advice, the wonderful way that your office and Princess <cruise line> made every effort to make our Alaska trip so wonderful.  The chocolate-covered strawberries were delicious and such a surprise and treat.  Your generosity was overwhelming to say the least when we realized you gave us the cover charge for our steak dinner to celebrate or 40th anniversary also!  What an unexpected surprise.  Our trip was much more than we could have ever hoped.  We haven't stopped talking about it.  Our memories are awesome!  This was a truly a trip of a lifetime and your office, you personally and Princess were very instrumental in making it so fantastic.  We will tell all of our friends and hopefully we can plan more trips through your office in the future.  It was so great that you made sure the weather was good too--and added bonus!  Thank you again form the bottom of our hearts.

Celebrity Cruise to Bermuda

Judy, I want to thank you for all of your help with our vacation!  It was amazing... and thank you for the chocolate covered strawberries! We ate them right up as soon as they were delivered and it was a wonderful surprise!

Soooo maybe a cruise around the Hawaiian Islands will be next!  Next time though I would do a "patch". I was somewhat seasick twice but it was ok.   Other thing I would recommend to people is not to bother with the internet. It was very expensive and it look so long to "load" that we lost time and money.  It was just not worth it.

What was the best? The Aqua class!!! Thank God for the Blu restaurant. It was the highlight of our vacation. The waiters/service/food.. absolutely no complaints, great... And the wheel chair worked out fine.   The service/help on the ship couldn't have been better. Top Notch!!!  And I loved the room, the bed the balcony. All of that was great.   We had a great time and thank you for your suggestions.  Bayone NJ  worked out perfectly.  Flawless! Also we were lucky with the weather in Bermuda. It has just turned nice and all three days were warm and sunny.   We even made it to the beach.

Now I've got to work on the next vacation!!  We'll be talking with you, thank you again for everything.

Mary & Bernie

We LOVED our trip aboard the Disney Fantasy!!  Every minute was wonderful, and we haven't stopped talking about it!  Can't wait to plan our next Great Escape----thank you so much!!

P.S. thank you for the wine and chocolate pops! Extra Magical!

Frank, Mary & Frankie,  Mt. Laurel, NJ

We had a great time on our Disney Cruise. The kids all the activities on the ship. The islands and side trips were very interesting. We could not of asked for a better vacation. Thanks, Dennis Gerst & Joe Ryan Audubon
Mediterranean cruise

Just wanted to drop you a note, first of all, to thank you for the bottle of wine and the cupcakes delivered to our cabin.  We greatly appreciated the extra touch.

The entire package went very smoothly - everything came together at the right time - no 'surprises'!  All shipboard credits were set up on our room account, exactly as they said. (We also received our credit on the card, too, by the way - for the amount they offered.)  The rear balcony cabin worked out just fine:  quiet, great view from the elongated balcony, little movement.  The only downside was the fact that the rear of the ship is extremely far from the elevators and stairs, but the exercise was good for us!

The destinations were all quite enjoyable.  We booked 5 tours through RC and they were all excellent.  All guides were well informed.  They made communication simple and all were easy to understand.  We learned a lot on each of the tours, especially Ephesus.  On Santorini we had issues with high winds on the island, so the cable cars were not always working.  We ended up walking down that donkey path to get to the dock.  Quite an experience!  Onboard, they even offered to refund your money earlier in the day, and not do your tour, due to weather conditions.  I'd say very few people took advantage of the offer.  We cruise guests are a hearty lot.

We especially enjoyed the company of our fellow passengers.  This is not a cruise for you if you feel the need to share a week with a lot of folks strictly from the USA.  And we loved it!  For instance, it was not unusual to dine at a lunch table with guests from 3 other countries - from all over the world.  All it took was an opening common bond type of comment and the conversation just rolled along.  At our evening assigned dining table we hit it off with a young couple, we traded email addresses, and actually made contact with each other several times since we got home.  And we're constantly amazed at the number of people who speak at least a little conversational English, and at how many people actually know where New Jersey is.

Anyway, feel free to pass on any of the above comments on your "clients corner" site.  Hope it will be of assistance to you.

Thank you again for everything.

Mediterranean/Greek Isles

Just wanted to say thanks for everything. The Strawberries were fabulous as was the wine and champagne! The trip was the ultimate high. I have never enjoyed anything as much. The sights were so dramatic with all the history, etc. I took over 1,000 pictures and am still trying to decide which to keep. It really was the best trip ever. The Cruise was great. The only negative I could mention is that the bed was so bad that they changed it for me after 5 nights on board. It was a mattress that had a mind of it's own. Once again, thanks for all you did to make our vacation what it was.

Diane and Craig, Long Neck, DE

<they enjoyed a 15-night Mediterranean/Greek Isles cruisetour aboard the GRAND PRINCESS with extra nights in Rome & Venice...and they should keep ALL the pictures!>

Pacific Coastal Cruise

Well, where do we start, a good cruise? Nah. A great cruise? Nah, that doesn't do it either. I suppose a PERFECT GREAT ESCAPE CRUISE fills the bill! As our 8th Princess cruise came to an end Ruth and I realized we enjoyed one of the best trips we've ever taken. Not one hitch in the giddy up. Flights out and back, perfect, all good ports, especially San Francisco, arriving at sunrise on a perfect weather day, great food and we met some very interesting folks along the way. We saw a whale breach as we dined Tuesday evening, fed seals in Victoria and got rained on in Astoria. Just a great trip all the way around. And your gifts were much appreciated, especially at the Stirling Steakhouse as we dined Thursay evening overlooking the Space Needle and the skyline in Seattle. Thank you so much for all your good input and travel knowledge, we know just how fortunate we are to have you on our side. Of course a thank you card will be delivered soon.

14-night Norway & Fjord Cruise

<The Olsens and their friends enjoyed a magnificent escorted tour of Norway and northbound Norwegian Fjords cruise with Hurtigruten -Norwegian Coastal Voyages...spectacular in every way!>

15 day Scenic IRELAND

We returned from Ireland exhausted but happy.  The country is absolutely
beautiful and the people we met were hospitable and eager to share their
country with visitors.  The hotels were wonderful.  Two could have been
rated as 4 star.  The others were wonderful in other ways--dining room,
location, or ambience.  The Great Northern in Bundooren sat on a cliff
overlooking the sea with a marvelous cliff walk and a golf course.
The decision to  select this trip of the perimeter of Ireland was the right decision.  The Antrim coast was absolutely beautiful and going to Ireland without seeing the North is an incomplete trip.  Derry (Londonderry) is a fascinating city and the guide gave us a new insight into the schism that exists.
Thank you for your help in planning this trip--especially your assertiveness in getting us the flight we wanted.  There was one other person who had the same problem.  She was staying in Limerick an extra day entirely at her own expense.  Thanks for getting us the hotel voucher.

Austria & Switzerland

Just a quick note to say how pleased we were with the Globus tour to Austria and Switzerland.  This was our first experience with Globus and we're very impressed with their operations.  Their hotel accommodations, touring, restaurants, optional excursions, etc., were all First Class!  And the tour guide assigned to our 13 days was nothing short of phenominal!!  His knowledge of history, events, family lineages, etc, made each excursion so interesting and his sense of humor made the bus rides enjoyable.  We only had one day of rain and snow and that was up in Zermatt, expected at that high an elevation.  We will certainly utilize Globus again as we were thoroughly impressed!  Thank you for all you did for us and the Harpers <the friends they traveled with> especially in changing airlines following the Heathrow incident.  It all worked out well even though round-about (Zurich to Dulles to O'Hare to Phila) on our return flight.  This was a very memorable tour.

Barry & Jean Oehlers, Haddonfield, NJ

Danube River cruise

Our Danube River Cruise was everything we expected and more.  Everyone on the planes, boat, guides and hotel were very informative and helpful.   The cruise people made everything fresh for us even though we know they do the same thing week after week.

Our Lufthansa flight had mechanical problems in Phila and we sat on the plane for 4 hours at the gate.  The crew took good care of everyone and kept us informed of the problems.  We missed our connecting flight in Frankfurt, but found we had already been booked on the next flight out.  Even our luggage made it!  They also called the Viking Europe for us to let them know to pick us up at 2:00pm instead of 11:00am.  We would definitely recommend Lufthansa, Viking River cruises and the Hilton Budapest plus Great Escapes to anyone!

Jim & Barb Peidl, Clementon, NJ

Got back safely and had another wonderful trip with Globus, our 6th with them.  Globus got the best tickets to shows, third row from the stage in the middle, and mid-field at the "Tattoo" and great rooms at the hotels.  The tour guide, an Englishman, was overflowing with history, and made the tour so meaningful.  The extra extended days in London at the end allowed us to take in just about everything London has to offer, including a ride on the "London Eye".

Thanks again for all your help and planning to make our trips so successful this year and in past years.

Barry & Jean Oehlers

European Sampler

This trip was perfect to sample Europe's highlights.  Globus did a good job in arranging everything including an excellent tour director, driver and guides.  Our fellow travelers were great.  British Airways was very hospitable.  We had an absolutely wonderful trip and took hundreds of pictures.  We also went on almost all the extra excursions which further enriched our experience.  Eight countries and two principalities-AWESOME!

Janet & Jerry, Haddon Heights

Greece & Italy

Italy & Greece: What a fantastic traveling vacation. We visited famous Roman ruins, ie. the Colosseum & the Roman Forum. We also visited the prominent Italian sites, such as the Leaning Tower of Pisa, & Venetian Canals with a gondola ride. The optional trip to Pompei was well worth the time & money. The countryside is a picturesque combination of green valleys, hills, farms & mountains. In Greece, Globus did a good job of minimizing the effects of the strikes. Dephi & the Acropolis were fascinating. Thanks again, Judy.

Greek Isles

WOW!  The girls getaway trip to Greece was awesome.  It is hard to believe that everything went as planned in this day and age.  Thanks to Judy at Great Escapes and Central Holidays for all their work.  We especially enjoyed Mykonos.  We weren't considering this island at first, but we are glad that we followed Judy's advice!  We are ready to go back! Thanks for helping us make wonderful memories.

Independent Ireland

Thank you Judy for all your guidance with planning our wonderful trip to Ireland--It was a trip of a lifetime!  Your tour suggestions gavus us a terrific overview of the Irish countryside and history.  Our hotel in Dublin was located in the center of it all, buses, pubs & shopping.  Alre4ady have some ideas on what cities I want to go back to on my next visit.  Thanks again for your expertise!

M Martin, Hainesport, NJ

As always, Judy at Great Escapes has provided the best vacation which included hotels, rental car and invaluable information.  Her itinerary was perfect.  'La Favorita' <hotel> was spectacular in every sense.

Once in Sorrento, must see Pompeii and Capri.  Sorrento itself is an experience of cultural immersion which transcends the experience of being an American.  The warmth and kindness of the people, the absolute beauty of the place, the delicious food at any location, all creat a paradise. We're hoping to return next year and stay at 'La Favorita'.

Thank you sincerely,  Denise & Ed Hosack, Haddon Heights, NJ

A note of appreciation for Judy's great work in coordinating a wonderful itinerary for my husband and me on our first trip to Italy.  She is very knowledgable about the country, transportation options, and hotels.  We talked for awhile about what was a reasonable itinerary for 9 days, and we decided to go to Rome and then to Capri--instead of a multi-city trip.  Since it was our first trip, Judy provided service people to pick us up from the airport and the train station and take us to the ferry and even rode the ferry and escorted us to the hotel in Capri.  This service took a lot of the stress out of traveling, I'll tell you!  Judy is very efficient--all of our paperwork was in order.  She recommended tours and provided guidance on activities.  We had a wonderful time!  We'll be contacting Judy for our travel plans next year!
J. Mitchell,  Adelphi, MD

Once again, wonderful vacation, no bad surprises only good ones.  Your advice and input were right on the money!  Of course, Rome was amazing with all the ancient sites but my favorite cities were Venice and Verona.  The guides were invaluable.  Globus was a great choice.  Thank you so very much.

Kathy Warner, Oaklyn, NJ

The trip was perfection!  I cannot say enough about your attention to detail that made our time in Italy so wonderful.  Your choice of hotels in both Rome and Florence was perfect!  The neighborhoods and locations made it so easy for us!  The train tickets, the transport connections--just everything was great!  Thank you so much!

B. Randazzo, Stratford, NJ

We had the best time!  Your suggestion of Globus Tours was spot-on.  they met us at the airport and took care of everything until putting us back at the airport after 10 days.  Our vacation was all that we hoped for and more.  You were also right about directing us to the extra excursions on-line.  We signed up for all of them; every single one was worth it.  We are already talking about another trip to tour Southern Italy.  Thanks for making our dream vacation one that we will talk about for years!

The Fitzgeralds,  Westmont, NJ

<This exciting couple enjoyed the delights of the 10 day Italian Treasures tour with Globus--a fascinating trip and a great value>

Major thanks to Judy for our trip to Sicily! Hotel Villa Igeia in Palermo was spectacular. Driving in Palermo would have to be videotaped to be believed. There are literally, no rules. Scenery is beautiful, food is more varied than in Italy, and all people are warm and helpful. Don't miss tours to Monreale, Mt. Aetna, and Taormina. The Romano Palace Hotel in Catania was also wonderful because it was a quiet and restful oasis after exploring the area. What fascinates me is the fact that whether you are dining in a five star Ristorante or a corner Trattoria, your server will be immensely concernerd about your impression of each part of the meal. They are very proud of their cuisine and they want you to be thrilled: and when you get up to leave, don't be surprised if you're not kissed on each cheek

Ed and Denise Hosack, Haddon Heights, NJ

Self-drive Spain

People were friendly in France and Italy, but people in Spain were family!  Literally will stop traffic to help you!  Traffic in Barcelona as confusing as in Rome.  Food is wonderful everywhere.  Our hotels were comfortable and spacious.  We drove down the eastern coast on July 2nd and caught cool sea breezes.  Heat came on July 13th, the day we left.  Marbella, Puerto Banus was comparable to Sorrento (Italy) resort area, with exquisite views.  Prices in Spain are far lower than in France or Italy.  However, a top notch restaurant will cost 300 Euros for 2 people (Quo Vadis in Barcelona) yet you can have a delicious dinner at a local place for 40 Euros.  If you stop at a Supermercado, you will pick up a delicious lunch, plus wine, plus dessert for 5 Euros!  Don't miss the "Hypercor"--a huge one stop market which provides incredible products (food to furniture) at incredible prices.  We would return to Spain in a heartbeat!  Thank you Judy, you've changed our lives--you've brought beauty!

Denise & Ed, Haddon Heights

Waterways of Europe-River cruise

We took a 14-day Uniworld river cruise and can only say good things about it.  We found everything--food, service, accommodations and tours to be excellent.  Uniworld would be our only choice for future trips.

Mr. & Mrs. Harry Trout, Haddon Heights, NJ

<Enough said!  But I'll add that the shore excursions/tours are all INCLUDED in the cruise price!  What a bargain.>

Universal Orlando

We had another great family trip. This year we tried out Universal. What a wonderful trip. We stayed at the Royal Pacific which allowed us to get to the park early. The boat took about 5 minutes and the walk was ten. We did Harry Potter 4 times and the most exiciting event was the wand picking Paul at Olivander's wand shop. We did absolutely everything. We rode Popeye's raft ride twice because Paul had so much fun getting soaked. Anthony and Matthew loved the nights at Citywalk. Dancing in the streets. The pool was a marvelous way to cool off after a hot day. The view from the room was awesome. Thanks again for a trip full of memories.

Walt Disney World

Hi Everyone, Thanks once again for a great trip to Walt Disney World. I think this was one of our best trips ever. We had such a great time that even Darrin got into the Photopass photo frenzy and actually allowed himself to be photographed. The food was delicous. We went to so many different restaurants this time with the free meal plan, it was great. The boys are already asking to go back again. If was fun to stay at the French Quarter. What a great hotel. Thanks again for helping to create such wonderful family memeories.

The Dezii Family

Walt Disney World
Judy, there is no praise adequate to describe all that you have done for us. It was special and a first, to have gone to Disneyworld in a group of twelve family members. Grand Floridian was so wonderful - wouldn't stay anywhere else within the resort but there. (Details are incredible: wearing black capris to breakfast, I was given a black napkin to prevent lint - after using the coffee pot in the room, pitchers of cream were placed by our door every morning - chocolates on the pillows every night and the use of the whole resort for 5 hrs. after checkout time) The Deluxe dining plan is the only way to go! 10 family members used the economy plan and were told each time we ate together that they coudn't have appetizers or dessert with their plan. While Ed and I had the option of having three hearty meals per day, the rest of my family only had one breakfast in 8 days and they were skipping other meals to compensate for the restaurants which required a 2-meal coupon price. And the fact is - that the Deluxe plan is a HUGE DEAL. Well Judy, looking forward to Egypt and thanking you again for being the guardian angel of travel agents! Love, Denise and Ed Hosack
Walt Disney World

We just wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic time in Walt Disney World. We got our connected rooms and the food plan was definintely worth it. As a matter of fact, we were so full from lunch one day that we cancelled our dinner reservations. We can't thank you enough for all the great times we have had in Disney every time you have planned it for us. You never hesitate to do whatever is necessary to make our trip grand. We did go to the water parks and DisneyQuest this time around so it was worth the little extra. Thomas even crossed the icebergs in Blizzard Beach without fear. We even had a magical wish granted. We were the first campers in Animal Kingdom and we had a photo taken with all the characters. We will stop by with the picture. Thanks again. Paul wants to go again real soon.

Walt Disney World

Hi Judy,
I can't believe our trip is over.  We had a marvelous time.  I've been
to Walt Disney World many times over the past 20 years but this last
trip was the best one ever.  Disney does what most fail at which is
providing exceptional service.  I was prepared to handle the heat and
long waits but I am happy to say that my fears were replaced by great
service.  Disney's Magical Express Transportation, Fast Pass, and Dining
Plan have made such a difference in the Disney Vacation Experience.

By using the Disney Magical Express Transportation we dealt only with
our carry on bag.  We checked in our bags at the Philadelphia airport
and found them waiting in our room when our room was available.  From
stepping off the plane in Orlando and arriving at the Disney
Transportation station we literally walked right onto a bus waiting to
take us to our resort.  Once at the resort we were checked in
immediately.  We checked in our carry on bags with the bell boy and was
off to a park three hours after stepping on our plane in Philadelphia.
Disney also eliminated any aggravation in returning home by having at
the resort an airline help desk.  They checked our luggage and provided
us with boarding passes, delivered us to our departing flight and we
walked directly to security and on to our gate.  I can't say it enough
how impressed I was with the exceptional service.  I lost an item that
had personal value to me but of no value to others and the staff treated
my report of this lost item as if it were worth thousands.  I eventually
found it and notified the resort but could not get over how helpful they
were.  The Disney Food plan was wonderful as well.  I was concerned
about not being able to get reservations to use the sit down credits of
the plan but we were able to make reservation at various restraints one
day in advance.  It's a great value.  My 12 year old son ate steak every

I also need to mention that you and your colleagues at Great Escapes
have always provided us with great service as well.  :-) Thank you very

Disney was great--the meal plan was incredible. Dining at the different countries in Epcot was lots of fun & great food.  Photo pass is a great idea.  Our pictures online were so convenient!  Our trip was perfect & look forward to going back!

I'm writing to tell you, rather tardily, that on my last trip to Walt Disney World (November 30-December 8) I had the kind of blast you can't approach with dynamite. The Wilderness Lodge was great, and the dining plan was phenomenal--lots of food for your money. Can't wait until my May trip...  Thanks for being wonderful travel agents and friends, and I'll see you soon.

4-nt Riviera Maya Escape

I write this our last night in Playa Del Carmen.  We can't thank you enough for the awesome trip you found for us.  As I said in March, this was our first "true" vacation where we didn't know someone.  This not only met our expectiations but by far exceeded them.

We were upgraded to a beachfront Jr. Suite that was beautiful.  The people here were unbelievably wonderful...from the bell hop who greeted up upon arrival to the owner of the jet ski's who treated us like princesses!  Thak you for our wonderfun Maya Vacation!

<Christine and her teenage daughter enjoyed the delights & services at the all-inclusive Iberostar Tucan...but they eventually had to come home>

Cabo San Lucas

We had a great trip to Cabo. I would definitely recommend staying in San Jose del Cabo vs Cabo San Lucas (which seemed honky tonk). A drive through the desert landscape was interesting and we took a one day excursion including the Cabo San Lucas bay tour. San Jose is a cute town with some interesting restaurants, etc. The Royal Solaris had good food and entertainment. I think the highlight was the warmth of the people (generally throughout the Baja they were very friendly and never honked at my strange driving maneuvers). The biggest negative is the pressure for time share tours (even in our hotel). I did feel a bit like a second class citizen since most of the better rooms were reserved for the time share folks and they had special events for them as well. The ocean is a little rough for the less confident swimmers and the weather was a littler chillier than expected (a couple of nights in the 50's); there were no watersports . But we had a good time and glad we went. See you soon!

Mexico's Ancient & Colonial Cities

We want you to know how much we enjoyed our 8 day Caravan journey from Mexico City to Vera Cruz, Palenque, Uxmal, and Merida etc.  The service and food at each hotel was excellent, and we were always provided bottled water.  The guide was knowledgeable, explaining Aztec and Mayan history and culture while we road the bus.  The sites were truly amazing and the weather was not as hot as we expected.  See you soon.  Thank you.

Riviera Maya all went off without a hitch!!  Our trip was beautiful, thank you very much, but I must say one of my favorite things was having the extra paper work you sent to be filled out at home early.  It was terribly convenient to have all that done and organized before even reaching the airport.  Thanks!

Riviera Maya

Our trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico was tremendous over the Thanksgiving weekend.  The Grand Palladium Hotel was extravagant.  My 13-year old son thoroughly enjoyed the Chichen Itza tour as well as myself.  All of the Apple representatives were very hospitable and informative.  I do hope to take another trip in the future.  Thank you!

Our trip to Secrets Capri was awesome!! Judy did a great job for us. When we arrived and they handed us champagne and a cool towel to wipe our brows, we just knew it was going to be a great vacation. We actually upgraded to the Presidential Suite in time for our 20th anniversary. What a great night that was. I highly recommend Secrets Capri in the Riviera Maya to everyone. We met so many wonderful people and have some terrific memories. We took one outside tour to Chikin Ha and had a great time. Our guide, Miguel, was so knowledgeable and fun it made they trip really great. Seeing the Mayan culture as they live today was enlightening and being treated to their cuisine was a delight. Thanks for a great vacation Great Escapes!!

Riviera Maya

First off our travel agent Judy Rawls was excellent.  When you are ready to book a trip, you must ask for her.  She is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, honest and professional.  Our trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico for vacation and a friend's wedding was perfect.  Our stay at the Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort was an experience we will never forget.  You definitely get your money's worth at this 5 Star resort.  It is beautiful, with excellent service, nice restaurants with good food, fabulous pools, pretty sceneries, the rooms are perfect and the spa is what everyone needs.  Plan a trip for the Moon Palace in Riviera Maya and book through Judy Rawls.  This was our 3rd trip to Mexico and the best one!

<WOW, they really liked me....but honestly, this entire destination wedding group was a dream to work with and we just KNEW they'd love the resort and have a splendid time!  They helped start the "happily-ever-afters" from the planning stage...great clients!>

Riviera Maya-Destination Wedding Guests

Great Vacation!!! The trip was wonderful!!! Please thank everyone & pass along our extremely positive experience. (Would you especially thank Ian, our main contact at the hotel, for all he did to help us have a chance to pursue a lifelong dream of visiting a Mayan site while still enjoying the wedding.  He worked many extra hours on this without complaint.)  Everyone was so helpful & informative & just plain fun.  We absolutely got more than our money's worth!  My only suggestion for improvement would be to make it clear that the <full> day trips are so much better than anything available locally.  I think more people would go on these trips if they knew that the guides were informative, fun and started as soon as you got on the bus.

8-day tour of Mt Rushmore, Grand Tetons & Yellowstone

Hi Judy, Re: Mt. Rushmore, Grand Tetons & Yellowstone, This vacation was much nicer than we anticipated. A combination of natures' scenic beauty & American history. A must trip for those who desire to "see America". Respectfully, Larry & Ana

<this adventurous couple enjoyed a picturesque escorted tour with Caravan Tours from South Dakota to Utah...a great value!>

America's National Parks

GREAT TRIP!  We saw all the great sights of The West.  Meals were superb & scenery was breathtaking.  We would tell anyone to "Go West" with Globus.

Sue Kelleher, Haddonfield, NJ

<there is no doubt this couple enjoyed breathtaking scenery and fascinating sights on their 11-day tour to our great National Parks with an extension to the Badlands...and Globus makes it easy & convenient on their congenial, fully-escorted tours!>

California Coast

Our Caravan Tour of Yosemite National Park and the Southern California Coast was great!  The meals that were provided were very good with a nice selection at each meal.  The hotels were above average, our favorite one--Yosemite Lodge--with a beautiful view of the mountains--and dinner on the restaurant patio with a river running below and a beautiful background of the mountains, again.

We covered over 1,000 miles on our trip but we really did see alot more than we would have on our own.  We met alot of nice people and enjoyed each other's company.

My only disappointment was that I could not visit a Hollywood movie studio in place of one of the other sites on the tour.

Don & Lois Reiter, Audubon, NJ

Had a WONDERFUL time on our Caravan tour to the Grand Canyon.  We had a great tour guide, Kelly Thomas, who said a great big Thank You to you for suggesting Caravan.  Hotels, food, sightseeing, activities were great.  Thanks for your input--had a great time.  In fact, we may do Yellowstone next year!

We had a great time.  We are glad we took your advise and did the Grand Canyon Tour-the Southern Rim.  It was great.  The tour guide was excellent.

Newfoundland & Labrador

Jean & I had a wonderful trip to Newfoundland/Labrador.  The scenery was beautiful especially in the western part of the country.  The National Parks were awesome and rugged with magnificent rock formations and the commentary on how it was all formed during the beginning of time was very interesting (I have an interest in Geology).  On our two boat cruises we saw some whales and "zillions" of Puffins.  We would recommend this trip to others who have not seen this part of North America.

The only negative we incurred was the starting leg of our air flight from Phila to Halifax.  US Air ripped the zipper and lining off one of the front compartments of my luggage.  Fortunately I did not have anything in this compartment.  I bought a roll of duct tape to hold it together for the remainder of the trip.  US Air does not cover zippers, wheels and handles.  I have started a claim with TripMate and trying to comply with all their requriements for either repair or replacement.

Niagara Falls, Canada

We cannot thank you enough for planning our trip to Niagara Falls, Canada.

Just as you did with our trip to London, everything was perfectly arranged--from the moment we left home through our return.  The hotel accommodations were outstanding, including the guest rooms, restaurants, health club and indoor swimming pool.  The hotel was situated in a very safe neighborhood, so we were able to walk for miles, enjoying the sights, without fear or interference.  As you can see from the pictures, Niagara Falls and the surrounding attractions were spectacular.  Thank you again.

Niagara Falls, Canada

Hi Judy, Just wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic time in Niagara Falls. The hotel was great and at the center of all the action in Canada. We had a three minute walk to the Maid of the Mist and spent the day alternately getting wet and riding the people mover. The view from the Watermark Restaurant was so breath taking we watched the rainbows as they grew and changed until nightfall. The kids had a blast at the indoor waterpark and we went up the Skylon Tower twice. The only thing that we did not anticipate was the high cost of meals in Canada. The food was great just expensive. You were right about something for everyone in our family. We will be seeing you soon for our next family vacation
